Vastu remedies without demolition

03

Practical fixes for common defects.

Many Vastu defects can be corrected without structural changes using mirrors, colors, metals, plants, symbols, and spatial adjustments. Here are common issues and their remedies.

Defect

Main entrance faces South

Remedy

Place a Om symbol or auspicious toran above the door. Use warm lighting at the entrance. Add a threshold to create a barrier.

Defect

Kitchen in North-East

Remedy

Use copper or brass utensils. Place a red bulb in the SE corner of the kitchen. Apply warm color tones to balance the fire element.

Defect

Bathroom in South-West

Remedy

Keep the bathroom spotlessly clean. Place a Vastu pyramid on the bathroom wall. Use earthy colors. Keep the door closed at all times.

Defect

Missing North-East corner

Remedy

Place mirrors on the NE walls to create an illusion of extension. Use light colors. Add indoor plants to enhance the air element.

Defect

Extended South-East corner

Remedy

Place copper items or a small lamp in the extended area. Use red or orange accents. Avoid storing water in this zone.

Defect

Center (Brahmasthan) blocked

Remedy

Keep the center of the home as open as possible. Remove heavy furniture. Place a small rug or a brass bowl with water and flowers.

Defect

Beam overhead while sleeping

Remedy

Move the bed away from the beam. If not possible, create a false ceiling. Use warm-colored bed linen to soften the energy.

Defect

Mirror facing the bed

Remedy

Remove or cover the mirror at night. Alternatively, reposition the mirror to reflect a window or positive imagery.

Defect

Toilet and kitchen sharing a wall

Remedy

Place a copper sheet on the shared wall. Apply warm colors on the kitchen side. Keep both doors closed.
